Welcome to the world of Gert Arwood & the Centennials: the newest generation of old souls!

 

The Centennials started as a group of young, seasoned musicians in the Nashville music scene, eager to flex their creative muscles and tell great stories through music. The band's namesake, Gert Arwood, serves as the group’s vocalist, bassist, and trumpeter, along with guitarists Jackson Anderson and Lucas Rennie, vocalist Christiana Alaire, drummer Patrick Prophet, keyboardists Adam Story and Alex J. Price, and saxophonist Jack Warren. The combined talents of these eight musicians form the foundation of the group’s signature blend of funk, rock, soul, and blues.

 

The group’s music reflects their shared experiences and individual genre influences, with nods to artists such as Sly & the Family Stone, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Hall & Oates, The Doobie Brothers, Lake Street Dive, and countless others.  The result is a genre-defying blend that captivates audiences and leaves them yearning for more. Their live shows are a testament to the band's dynamic chemistry and ability to connect with audiences on a deeper level. As they embark on their musical journey, Gert Arwood & the Centennials invite you to join them on an exploration where the past and present collide, creating a musical landscape that is uniquely their own.

 

The band released their debut EP, Honeymoon Phase, on May 28th, 2023. A follow-up project is currently in the works.
